Loving the Culture and Entertainment in Chicago!
- Lindsay P., RN
- Chicago, Illinois
I’m currently on a travel nurse assignment in Chicago, working at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center in the Med Surg/Oncology unit. Chicago is an amazing city with so much to do and so much culture. I’ve been to the Navy Pier, Museum of Science and Industry, Cubs baseball games and many good restaurants and clubs. Here and I am with a friend outside the Shedd Aquarium, which is right on the lake. I think it is one of the best views of the city.
Enjoying One Last Snowy Winter in Chicago!
- Marie H., RN
- Chicago, Illinois
I spent the holidays in Chicago, Illinois while on assignment at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in the NICU unit. I lived with my sister and her family, so I got the chance to spend time with my 14-month-old nephew. Among many trips to the great city of Chicago, I enjoyed my time the day after Christmas going to State Street. On this street there is a variety of theaters as well as the original historic Marshal Fields store that is now a Macy's. The decorations and the window displays were like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The best part of the trip downtown was the look on my nephew’s face as he watched the window displays involving the nutcracker scenes. Children of all ages were enjoying the scenery and the atmosphere of street performers playing Christmas music. Now I have left the Chicago area and will head to Texas so this was a special chance to enjoy the snow and winter weather.
